Turkey and Gift card prizes

Venture Crew 1390 will host the eighth annual Turkey Shoot at the McDonald Sportsmen's Association (Club) shotgun range. The event is open to registered Boy Scouts, Ventures, and the public. WE SHOOT RAIN OR SHINE. Scouts will begin competing at 10:00 and public begins competing at 11:00. All scouts competing should have range shooting experience to enter

A Liability Release Form is required for all shooters under 18 years old. Make copies of the attached as necessary. Releases signed by parent/guardian will be collected upon arrival at the shoot..

Scouts participating should bring a shotgun (12 gauge or smaller) and ammunition (two to three boxes of shells should be enough). Ammunition for personal guns is the individual's responsibility; target loads (low brass) are required (and cheapest), shot size should not exceed number 6, and magnum or high brass loads are not permitted. Club-owned, 20-gauge shotguns will be available for those who do not bring a gun. A limited supply of new 12-gauge and 20-gauge ammunition will be available for sale (to adult chaperones). Hearing and eye protection are required and shooters may borrow Club-owned ear end eye protection. Eye glasses may provide adequate protection.
